3 OMS’ Vinyasa Yoga teacher training will empower you with a strong foundational knowledge of yoga asana, yoga philosophy, and energy anatomy. This unique approach to teacher training provides each student with the tools to facilitate deep personal growth and an exceptional understanding of the art of teaching yoga. We’ll use the framework of the body’s chakras and energy systems to develop a personalized style that combines ancient knowledge with modern application. Upon completion of the program, each student will be eligible to register with the Yoga Alliance as a 200 -hour Registered Yoga Teacher. The 4-month program consists of eight intensive weekends (Friday morning through Sunday Evening), running from January 12th to April 29, 2018.
This training will include:
- Analytical training, methodology and techniques for teaching asana with a breakdown of each pose for alignment, principles of safety and injury prevention
- Yoga philosophy and ethics from ancient yogic texts with a modern application of self-inquiry and how to apply these to teaching yoga
- In depth study of energy anatomy including chakras, nadis, koshas, and vayus as well as techniques for activating and clearing
- Creative and intelligent sequencing for practitioners of all levels
- Anatomy and physiology for yoga
- Clear and compassionate hands on assists
- The science and application of pranayama and meditation

Gentri Watson will be leading this training, and has completed 600 hours of teacher training in 2009 with Inbody Academy. Her style of yoga is a blend of the many teachings from a collection of today’s yoga wisdom keepers in addition to her own insights gained through life, love, loss and years of study and experience. She teaches grounded and creative classes with a focus on breath, strength and harnessing prana. Her desire to deepen her impact as a healer and a teacher inspired her to pursue education in massage therapy in 2015 and become a licensed massage therapist.

What if I’m new to yoga?
We ask that you have a minimum experience of 6 months of consistent yoga practice and over 18 years old before the training begins. Please see the link below for application process to learn more about the training.
What if I miss a weekend?
We ask all trainees to commit to attending the entirety of the training to meet the 180 required contact hours in order to graduate from the program. If for any reason you are unable to attend, you’ll be required to notify us in advance and make up the missed hours at an hourly rate with the lead teacher.
Will there be homework?
Yes! There will be assigned reading and journaling, required minimum class attendance of two times per week, home practice and practice teaching sessions.
How much of a time commitment will this be?
Teacher training is a big commitment. Aside from our 180 hours together over the course of training, you can expect to have a minimum of 5-8 hours of additional study and practice per week.
What does the cost of the training include?
The cost of the training includes unlimited classes at 3 Oms Yoga while in training and 180 contact hours of training. Not included in the cost of training are the books that are required to complete the program which you will need to attain on your own.
Will there be a final exam?
Yes! A written exam and a live teaching “exam” will be given at the end of training.
What if I don’t plan to be a yoga teacher?
This training is also open to those who want to deepen their yoga practice. It will provide tools to facilitate deep personal growth in a supportive and encouraging environment. We understand that not all participants will immediately want to step into teaching yoga. However, we ask that you be open to the whole experience and agree to participate fully which includes many hours of training in teaching and practice teaching.
