If you’ve been meaning to try yoga, or would like to reacquaint yourself with your practice, this is the perfect opportunity! You will learn the basic alignment and form of over 40 postures, breathing techniques, yoga philosophy and concepts that will inspire and empower you on and off your mat. Demonstration, discussion, personal hands-on adjustments, and guided practice will provide you with a solid foundation for any style of yoga. Classes will build upon each other, leading you through a progression of knowledge. We promote non-competition and non-judgement in a welcoming atmosphere. 8 class series, meets Tuesday and Thursday nights, 7:15-8:30pm for 4 consecutive weeks.

I took the 8-week beginner’s course with Elizabeth. I’ve done a little bit of yoga sporadically for the last few years and I’ve never looked forward to a class like this one. Elizabeth is utterly warm, affable, funny, and so incredibly knowledgeable. Her teaching style made the class so much fun and promoted a very welcoming and non-judgmental space for beginners and more advanced students alike. I learned a TON about the intricacies of common poses that occur regularly in classes and feel much more confident practicing after taking her class. The space itself is beautiful and clean and the atmosphere is completely unpretentious. I think this studio is a gem and might actually be the place that inspires me to keep up with my yoga practice for once.
