Vagus Nerve Workshop

In this workshop we will explore the intersection between yoga and neuroscience, and experience how when blended- can enrich our life and yoga practice. We will learn about the Vagus nerve and the “Ventral Vagal State”  – which helps us alter the state of our nervous system from one that is dysregulated and reactive to one that is calm and connected to ourselves and our environment. The practice will include basic breathing techniques, specific somatic relaxation, and familiar yoga poses. 

Kate Laspina unites core practices of Yoga and physical therapy to deeply enrich the experience of her students’ Yoga practice. Her greatest skill is to guide students to practice in a safe, authentic, and powerful way.
