The psychology of yoga

Sunday October 14, 12:30-3:00pm

Join Maria, long time yoga teacher and psychotherapist, for a deep exploration into the ways in which yogic philosophy mirrors modern psychological thought and how to weave this therapeutic understanding of yoga into YOUR practice. We will move and breathe in a thoughtful yoga asana practice designed for all levels of yoga practitioner. Maria will weave the teachings into your movement practice so you won’t be sitting in lecture, instead you will be exploring the content through the here and now experience of your body. Expect to leave with a richer understanding of how your nervous system functions, how your emotional patterns and the habits of your mind impact your life, and you will certainly gain a better understanding of the core principles of yogic thought.
