Since we announced that 3 Oms Yoga is closing on March 31st, many tears have been shed by our incredible staff, our community and me. I feel sad that I had to make this heart-wrenching decision to close. I take refuge in the words of one of my favorite spiritual philosophers, Ted Lasso, “I want you to be grateful that you’re going through this sad moment with all these other folks. Because I promise you, there is something worse out there than being sad and that is being alone and sad.” We are feeling sad together, grieving the loss of this community and practicing yoga together.
We can feel sad that it’s over AND glad that it happened. I’m gazing at the memory wall that we created together this month in gratitude and awe of the stories, reflections and photos of the hearts opening, healing, awakening and the community connection made. As I reflect on these past 20 years of teaching yoga in Bellingham I see flashes of all the beautiful souls who have walked through these sanctuary doors and I hear echoes of the thousands of Oms we have chanted together. Just as the resonance of the Om echoes on, so will 3 Oms Yoga in our hearts and community.
I hope you are able to continue with your yoga practice. Our staff is searching for where to continue teaching and you can find them on social media when they land. I am taking a sabbatical for a few months and part of that time I’ll be a pilgrim hiking the Camino de Santiago in Spain. When I return, I will contemplate what’s next for my life and this beautiful space.
To stay connected we will keep the website, email and social media pages while I’m on sabbatical (but I will rarely be checking them). We will no longer have MindBody or access to the member library but I have posted several of my classes for free on our website for you to access. Here is the link to Amy’s free classes on Vimeo https://www.3omsyoga.com/class-library/
Thank you for being part of this cOMmunity, I love you…OM, OM, OM…..

To my Beloved yoga community,
Savasana has been one of the most challenging poses for me over my 30 years of practicing yoga. I tend to hang on tight, especially to those/that which I love.
For the past 3 years we have held on tight to our passion to serve you. Like so many other small businesses we have experienced ongoing challenges from the pandemic. Last year, we put an SOS call out that we had to contemplate closing and we received a supportive response but we are still in the same situation a year later.
The time has come to let go and to close the doors at 3 Oms Yoga on March 31st. It has become clear that we can no longer “hold on” due to ongoing operating losses. There does not seem to be enough demand for in-person yoga classes and the cost of running a business has increased. Across the nation/world yoga studios and small businesses have had to make this same difficult decision. This is no one’s fault and I feel grateful to my dedicated staff and committed yoga community for all we’ve done to support each other, especially these past 3 years.
Some of you will feel shocked by this news. I know that there will be grief in it’s myriad of forms, felt by our staff, by the community and by me. Thankfully we have our yoga practice to move through whatever arises.
Please know that this has been over a yearlong deliberation and we have given it our all. We plan to continue to offer classes, workshops and time to say goodbye until March 31st and hope that you will join us.
We will no longer offer Class Packages and will move to Drop-in fee rates.
Below are important details for current Class Packages you have purchased, Membership payments, and Drop-in class fees.
Active Class Packages & Gift Certificates:
Please use up your active Class Package or Gift Certificate before 3/31/2023 and we will no longer be able to offer extensions on expiration dates.
Members: Your last Membership payment will be your February payment unless we hear from you otherwise.
Drop-in Class Fees: We will offer Drop-in fee rates for classes at our current rate of $20 and $25, please pay what you can.
It has been my honor to serve the Bellingham community teaching yoga these past 20 years and running 3 Oms Yoga for the past 14 years. As I close this chapter, I will definitely grieve this loss. However, my heart is full, knowing the joy and impact 3 Oms has had on my life and yours.
I invite you to come and spend these coming months with us to CELEBRATE one another, the relationships we have built and the gifts we have all received through Yoga.
Please email us with any questions.
Om Om Om and Namaste,
Amy Robinson
